New
full-time Assistant Coach

Danielle (Dani) Davis. danidavis@apu.edu,
(925) 207-5629 I
am going into my junior year at Azusa Pacific University where I am majoring in
communications studies with an emphasis on interpersonal relations. Upon graduation
I hope to work as an academic counselor for young adults. I have extensive experience
working with children and have worked at a Christian summer camp for junior high
and high school students for the past two years. In addition to teaching swim
lessons at the YMCA, I swam for the YMCA recreational team in junior high school.
As a student at Deer Valley High School, I swam on both junior varsity and varsity
swim teams all four years and competed on the water polo team for three years.
My primary stroke was sprint free followed closely by the 100 IM. Swimming was
such huge part of my life and I am very excited to be joining the Aquaknights
this season!

New
part-time coaching assistant
Kendra Niedziejko.
I am excited to become more involved with the Aquaknights as my six-year old daughter
loves the team. I swam with the San Ramon AquaCats and California High School,
and helped coach the 6 and under swimmers on the AquaCats while swimming. I was
a lifeguard and instructor for over seven years at the Sequoia Country Club in
Oakland and at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. In my last year at Cal Poly I was the
Aquatics Director, in charge of all aquatics programming and a lifeguard staff
of approximately 25 people. While at Sequoia and Cal Poly, I taught private and
semi-private swim lessons to all ages, specializing in children who didn't function
well in the group lesson scenario. Finally, I was named varsity captain my senior
year in high school, based on technique and leadership qualities. I look forward
to working with the Aquaknights coaching staff and your children this summer.

The
swimmer coach concept is new to our team. Through this position we are emphasizing
leadership and motivation to our younger swimmers through words as well as action.
As they are age-eligible, our swimmer coaches will represent our team and compete
in the 15-18 age group to promote a healthy team culture and promote our long-term
goals. |
